They must possess the personal and intellectual qualities to be teachers. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate confidence and a strong desire to teach. They must have an understanding of the demanding workload, be able to meet deadlines and enjoy working as part of a team. It is essential that you gain some insight into what is involved in being a teacher by spending time in a school and speaking with current teachers.
All applications must be made through the UCAS application site. Interview dates are set throughout the year and applicants who meet the course entry requirements are systematically allocated the next free interview date. We cannot predict at what time of the year all places will be filled as not all applicants successfully pass the interview.
Candidates, who are successful at interview, will be required to complete a Health Declaration form and a DBS form. Any offer of a place on the course is conditional on satisfactory results being obtained from the Health Declaration and DBS check, passing the skills tests and having evidence of the relevant qualifications.
